Favourite movies

Third post in three consecutive days, go me!

Since I'm on holiday from work and its too hot to be going out everyday, I've been having a movie marathon in the comforts of my own living room...with lots of food. It's bad I know.

I've always found it hard to say what my favourite film is because there's so many good films out there so I've put together a list of my current top 3.

So in no particular order, here goes:

1.Mean Girls

This has been one of my favourite films since forever. A lot of people act really shocked when I tell them but seriously, it's such a funny, quotable film. Not only is the screenplay really good, the cast are amazing too. I just love this film to pieces and to top off how sad I am, I know 99% of the lines. It gets really annoying if you watch the film with me haha.

2.Fight Club

I know this is so drastic from the first one but this is a really thought provoking film. It looks into the problems we have in society and confronts them in an interesting manner. I've yet to read the book but I definitely will.

3.Wall.E

I only watched this for the first time last week. However, since then I've re-watched a couple more times because with Pixar films, you've gotta see it a few times to notice the Easter eggs or the tiny background jokes. Again, it's a thought provoking film but done very subtly obviously due to the younger target audience but just serious enough to get the point across and be non condescending to older audiences. The relationship between Wall-E and EVE is beautiful despite the lack of communication. So much love for this film.

TkMaxx Haul!

I went shopping with my mum yesterday and she kindly offered to buy me some essentials for winter.

I know I've only posted up 3 item so I think I can class it as a small haul, hoho.

In line with my new shopping resolution, I only chose what I felt I really needed. I had to throw away two pairs of shoes recently because I've been walking a lot recently. A LOT. So, I picked out some shoes that are more comfortable and durable than what I would usually pick.
This one is SUPER comfortable and even thought it looks slightly goofy, at least my feet will be warm!

This pair is pretty versatile and is going to be replacing my old brown pair which looks really similar. Lace up boots are such good shoes all year round and I just love them!

And lastly, the pair of skinny, high waisted jeans which I can't be bothered to model at the moment(I know I'm lazy!), but are really slimming because of the indigo colour.

I know this sounds crazy because it's pretty much middle of summer still for most places but I
am ready for autumn!Let's hope its a good one!

Future Primark hitlist! +life shizz!

Source: Tumblr
So, I went shopping with my mum, so I'm technically not breaking the shopping ban I set myself since my mum paid(it was all for things I needed, I promise!). We went past a Primark today and since the Easy jean dupe it has looked alright I thought I'd try some on. They fit/looked weird on me so I gave them a pass. Sadly, we didn't stay too long in there because we had more stuff that we needed to buy.

Not wanting to pass up on some bargains, I decided to have a look at the Autumn/Winter stuff that Primark is going to bring out and it really does not disappoint and I know that once my shopping ban wears off, I'm popping in to grab these beauties!

I think we can all agree that this season's Primark clothing is getting even better and harder to resist to buy. However, the clothes sometimes looks better on photos because with some items, you can't look closely because the material can be incredibly thin but that's only some.

Well, I'm looking forward to bagging these soon! And of course looking forward to a stylish, grungy winter yay!

On a side note, to the store assistant who was incredibly rude to me in the phone store, I hope you learn to be a better person soon because being a miserable bitch isn't benefiting anyone :)

Edit: Just remembered I bought these a few days ago....Oops

I promised myself that I'd start working out soon so these are kind of an incentive I guess :B

Curb yo' shoppin'!

Recently, I've set myself a shopping ban, which I broke within two weeks.

Which I think. we can all agree is pretty bad.

To be honest, I know I own too many "things" I don't need, namely clothes, but the urge to buy is too hard resist. My wardrobe is literally so full I cannot cram any more things into it. Plus, the cupboards and suitcases....

What I'm trying to say is that nowadays it's hard to save because of all that's on offer and the constant bombardment of adverts and images of aspirations you should have and things you should own. In the end, I'm never going to use all of this "stuff" and it's all going to waste. So, I'm planning to donate some clothes to charity, clear up some space and go cold turkey on the spending.

And whenever I think I'm going to give in, this mantra will kick in in my mind.
